Case Based Teaching & Problem-based Learning

The webinar will explore how Case-Based and Problem-Based Learning (PBL) can transform traditional classrooms into dynamic, student-centered environments. These approaches promote critical thinking, practical application, and deeper understanding, enhancing engagement and relevance in health professions education. Our expert speakers will delve into the rationale behind these methods and share practical strategies to integrate them across various disciplines. Participants will gain insights into fostering active student participation, adapting cases for diverse fields, and utilizing accessible tools to create interactive learning experiences.

Engaging Students in Large Classrooms

Discover how to transform large classrooms into dynamic, student-centered learning environments. This webinar will explore the pedagogical strategies behind engaging students in large groups and introduce interactive digital tools to boost participation and enhance learning experiences in higher education. Practical examples and real-life applications will also be discussed to help you implement these techniques effectively in your own classrooms.

The Flipped Classroom

Flipped classroom is an educational approach where traditional lecture and homework elements are reversed. Students will typically first engage with new material outside of class, for example through video lectures, reading assignments and/or formative quizzes. Class time is then used for interactive activities such as discussions, problem-solving, and hands-on projects. The flipped classroom aims to enhance learning outcomes by promoting critical thinking and application of knowledge in a collaborative setting. It also challenges learners to take responsibility for their learning.

How to activate students in class and in online teaching

The webinar showcased a methodology where students transitioned from being passive learners to active engagement by way of thinking, discussing, and creating. Real-life examples from the classroom were presented with practical tips on how to incorporate these methodologies into one's own teaching and learning process.
